We love welcoming four-legged guests! There are so many dog-friendly walks nearby, including a scenic loop around Lumsdale Falls, the leafy paths of Hall Leys Park, or a hike up to the stunning views from Riber Castle. Many of the local cafes welcome dogs too, so no one has to miss out on the adventure.

There’s nothing like returning to a crackling fire after a day out exploring Matlock’s beautiful surroundings. We aim to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you can kick back and relax.

“The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. Beds were really comfortable. Great location with lots of beautiful walks nearby. The town had some really nice eateries. Sourdough Dave was my fave, well worth a visit. Would definitely like to visit again and explore some more!” – Charlie
